Barbara A. Wood

Barbara’s work has also been featured in numerous movies and TV shows.

Barbara is a native of Columbus, Ohio and remembers even as a small child her mother encouraging her to sketch and paint, and always keeping her in ample supplies of art materials.

Following high school Barbara attended Traphagen School of Fashion on a scholarship where one of her instructors encouraged her to turn her talents to fine art. Taking this advice, Barbara transferred to the New York Students Art League. She continued her studies, married and moved to California. Barbara continued to paint and study while raising her three children. She attended the Otis Parsons School of Art and later the Pasadena School of Fine Arts.

In 2007 Barbara relocated from Westlake Village, California to Cumming, Georgia and opened the very first Barbara A. Wood Signature Art Gallery and now, in 2008, realizes a long time dream of opening an Academy of Art.

Pamela Edwards
Pam then moved to California and began her art career with the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, CA. In 1996 Pam was awarded her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the California State University in Long Beach, CA where she majored in Illustration. She then went on to receive further accreditation in Multiple Subject Teaching and Visual Arts Teaching from the same university.

In 2000 Pam began teaching at the Mary Butler Magnet School for Visual & Performing Arts in Long Beach, CA where she taught art to grades 1 through 8.

August of 2006 found Pam relocating to Georgia where to teach Elementary Art for grades K through 5 at the Hickory Hills & Lockheed Elementary Schools in Marietta, GA.

In October, 2007 Pam was awarded her Master of Science in Education from Troy University. Currently Pam is an Art Teacher in the Forsyth County School System, teaching at Sharon and Johns Creek Elementary Schools.
Christopher Simpson

With growing interest and increased sales to private collectors during the last seven years, Chris has completed many beautiful commissioned oil paintings. In addition he began a series of regional landscapes of the southeast, including a stunning collection of oil paintings of Georgia’s own Cumberland Island. “Based on personal experiences, hundreds of hours of research and work, the Cumberland Island series is one of the best collections of original oil paintings by Chris.” More recently he has been finding great excitement in portraiture.

Chris has enjoyed numerous early achievements and art awards, such as the prestigious Governors Honors’ program, Outstanding Skills in the Arts; a “Who’s Who” award, and, graduating in the top one percent in his field.

“I am very appreciative of the many jobs related to and supporting my love of art and the encouragement I receive from my wife, family, collectors, and so many others.”

Chris is continuously growing as an artist. His art is ever changing and communicates the artist deepest awakenings.

Lauren Poli
Over the years she has studied with many local artists in Bucks County, Pennsylvania as well as some nationally known artist/teachers, including the late Helen Van Wyk. In addition Lauren continues to grow in her talents with independent studies from her home based art studio.

Among her many achievements, Lauren has enjoyed the success of having her works of art displayed in numerous of art shows around the New York Metropolitan area.

In 2005 Lauren moved to the Atlanta area where she has continued to combine two of her passions by teaching art to children.
